Quick Tips for Authors

I started this list for quick reference, and decided it might be helpful for others, so I'm sharing.

This is an ever-changing list.

Amazon Quick Tips
Edit your blurb using Author Central instead of KDP under "Books/Editorial Reviews/Blurb/Edit"
Enter your book data using Book Extras on Shelfari
Add your blog to your author page using RSS feed
Use #addtowishlist and #addtocart on Twitter by connecting your social account to Amazon using "Your Social Settings"
Add carousel and slideshow widgets to your blog/webpage (You must first become an associate)
Share mobi files with collaborators by adding them (or having them add you) to your Approved Personal Document E-mail List under "Manage Your Content and Devices/Settings"
Follow these steps:
1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices/Settings tab on Amazon.com
2. Scroll to Approved Personal Document E-mail List
3. Add yourfriendsemailaddress @email.com
4. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices/Devices tab and find your [your name] @kindle email address
5. Tell your friend your [your name] @kindle address for that device
6. Have them do the same process for your email address
Now you can send mobi files back and forth to your devices. Use this to send beta readers and reviewers non-sharable .mobi files. Also convenient to check your book's formatting.
Consider asking beta readers and review requests to sign a privacy agreement - sample
